At Brazoria County Specialty Recovery Courts Foundation, we take pride in the impact we’ve made on the lives of Specialty Recovery Court participants. Our journey has been filled with growth, challenges, and success stories that reflect our commitment to helping individuals overcome obstacles and build a better future.

2018
Our Foundation Was Established

Originally founded as the Brazoria County Veterans’ Court Foundation to support veterans in the Veterans Treatment Court.

Led by dedicated U.S. veterans and community leaders.

2020
Expanded to Serve All Specialty Recovery Courts

Recognized the need to broaden support beyond veterans.

Rebranded as Brazoria County Specialty Recovery Courts Foundation to help individuals in DWI Court, Drug Court, Mental Health Court, and Family Preservation Court.

Officially received 501(c)(3) non-profit status from the IRS.

2023
First Major Fundraiser & Grant Support

Hosted our first fundraiser to raise financial support for Specialty Recovery Court participants.

Received a cash award from the Opiates Settlement, expanding our ability to provide direct assistance.

2024
Direct Financial Assistance Begins

$9,449.92 in direct aid distributed to 25 Specialty Recovery Court participants.

Provided $1,068.22 to support court graduation ceremonies and incentive awards for participant achievements.

Helped individuals with housing, food, utilities, legal fees, transportation, and medical support.

How We Deliver Assistance

Our process ensures that aid is distributed fairly, efficiently, and confidentially:

Supported the transition of multiple participants into stable housing through post-treatment assistance.

Helped numerous individuals maintain employment by providing transportation support.

Played a key role in Specialty Court graduation success by rewarding participant progress and achievements.

Created a confidential, streamlined assistance program to meet urgent participant needs quickly and efficiently.
